at the top on the left ther is an sort of IR piece of glass
is this IR ?

yes, yes it is, although its not used for anything at the mo, unless you use hombrew and use your psp as a remote for you tv etc

I thought when you played games with people close by it used the IR port and not the wifi connection.

nope, try playing multiplayer with the wlan switch off... wont work not sure why it actually has the IR port to be honest, at first i thought it was for shareing of pics and so on...
but yet again its not...

just been doing some research on th IR port on the psp and there have been very little hombrew made for it(not suprised really)

a program to use your PDA as a keyboard for your psp

a program to send/recieve files from psp to psp via IR

and the good ol universal remote for your psp(Works great in eletronic stores:P)

Now that PDA proggie is sweet. I have an old HP Jornade that I've been dying to put to some good use and you just solved my problems. Thanx for doin the research for me on that. We need more members like you that go the extra mile for people :)
