have used umdripper to rip a splinter cell umd. it has dumped the contents of the umd to my ms root under a folder called PSP_GAME. theres heaps of files there there. does not appear to be an iso there. how do i play this game now using devhook 0.44?? do i need to build an iso or something? because i am not given an option to play it through devhook.

Drag the folder into UMDgen and save it as an iso. Load with Devhook

once you have PSP_GAME and UMD_DATA.BIN in the window on the right side of UMDGen, click the DISK icon. Name your ISO, choose the directory and you're done.

thats what i mean, i don't seem to be able to get them. cannot actually get anything from this game onto the right hand window in umd gen. for existing iso's i can. for this ripped umd i can't.
for example i have no prob getting my fight night 3 iso opened and getting the psp_game and umd_data.bin in the window.
trying to open the psp_game folder with my splinter cell contents does nothing?!

in umdgen i go to file, then open and then i go to the psp_game folder (that i got when ripping the umd) and try to open that, but nothing.
what have i done wrong?
if i repeat this process to open an existing iso, then yeah i get those things you talk about guano.

you used Fastloader, didn't you?
Change "MyLatestDump" to "anygame.iso"
you need the ".iso" part so UMDGen will recognise the game as an ISO.
You don't need to click "FILE>OPEN" either. You can just take the ISO from w/e folder has it, then drag and drop the ISO into the window of UMDGen...
hope that helps! :)

thanks for your help so far guano, but have hit a wall again.
here's everything i've done so far.
used umdripper to rip a splinter cell umd.
contents of umd get dumped to root of my ms under a file called PSP_GAME.
i drag that file into umdgen and save as an iso file.
then it's just a matter of putting iso file in my iso folder and loading it with devhook .43. unfortunately i get a messgae saying the umd could not be read?! i have set the umd select option to the splinter cell iso.
what could i have done wrong? i'm guessing it's something i'm missing in the umdgen stage?
