Azureus is killing my network.. Help!

First let me start by saying that I have a slow DSL line..and its all that is available (256k/64k). I am using Azureus, but I have set the maximum bandwidth speeds at only 5K-8K. But regardless of how low I set it, whenever Azureus is running the totally kills the network bandwidth for everyone else on my home network. Even AOL Instant Messenger loses its connection.. Can anyone please tell me how to solve this problem?

Just as an aside, though I don't think it matters, I have a Belkin router connected to my DSL Modem, with two downstream Linksys router/wireless APs (802.11b).

Any advice is appreciated.

try limiting connectins
(optins,transfers,max conntions golbely)=50
(optins,transfers,max conntions pertorrent) = 10
(optins,transfers,max upload slot pertorrent)= 2

if that fails try the config wizard and set it to dail up and see how that fars if thats stable you can incress the ammout of active files easily.

try a speed test on you net onnection cnet had one or 2 you can fidn them under google,also do you have a router or wireless?
