Can this be cracked? i hope so because by the next year or so, these will be the only psps left. and...I was wondering, i have a 1.5 but what does 2.71 do? im not gonna update, im just wondering what those morons (sony) patched.

Maybe some type of mod chip that dissables the can't go anylower fw thing or somehthing like that.

2.71 has an rss reader, flash player, can play wma. And some security enhancements. You can emulate 2.71 with devhook .44. There is some hope for ta-082 mobo's I have heard rumors of people succesfully downgrading this mobo but it could have been an ellaborate hoax.

Most of the downgraded TA-082 i heard of downgraded but nothing could be seen on the screen.

It was pretty smart of sony to add the thing to the motherboard so it couldnt run lower firmware than 1.5
