take a look at this video,it shows a guy trying to run ridge racer straight off the memory stick. i am not sure about how it is done but it shows how close people are getting to hacking version 2.71
it's a start anyway

ALl the guy did was click on a Ridge Racer loader and got a corrupted data error, the game could not be started.

yeah i know, you can do that on any firmware except 1.0 and 1.5 becuase it will actually load.

yeah looks good, just a shame that it didn't actually start. i hope someone hacks it soon cos i really want to play iso and homebrew on my 2.71

are you guys serious that can be done on any PSP that is : 1.51,1.52,2.0,2.01,2.5,2.6,2.7,2.71. This isnt going to lead to an exploit. If this was going to cause a exploit it would of happened on a lower security firmware like 2.0.

They will, it's just a matter of time. We have the keys to the firmware, so all we need is to find an exploit which should be a little "easier" since Devhook boots 2.71.

devhook doesnt really have anything to do with this but now that the firmware have been decrypted it might help.

Yes, but since 1.5 users are able to emulate 2.71 more people with 1.5 will try to look for flaws, holes, and exploits, hence making it go faster.
