i ask this as i remember some1 saying they had 2 and had destroyed a motherboard on one. which would leave them with a psp minus a motherboard. sorry i dont remember who. but if u see this would u be intrested in sellin on ur pcb button bar faceplate and (embarrassed 2 say this) one of the screws lol. if not does anyone else have any of these from a broken psp or whatever. i looked on spares sites and they were very expensive

Since you mentioned parts, I thought i would check it out on ebay for an original faceplate.
Resonably cheap at around 8$ but these punks are charging 25$ for shippign and handling...is rediculous.
I suggest getting a face plate from http://www.Lik-Sang.com
They might not have "SONY" logo on them, but they are roughly 20-35$ with free shipping. And your PSP will look nice with a metalic plat.
*shrug* But I gotta start hunting for a new LCD screen, slowly I wanna start replacing parts of my PSP to keep my 1.5 looking as new as possible :D

that could prove costly lol, i do recommend www.decalgirl.com i know they do skins ( i have the heat one lol) but go to the last page for buttons faceplates etc :)

Might've been me. IDK, but I have my other PSP which the mobo is fried on and everything else is fine...

I have an extra faceplace. Most places want 30-50 dollars for the original sony one. I would you sell you my extra one for 20-25. Maybe less. pm me if your interested.

Does anyone know if you can change the Protective lens for the LCD? I hate having scratches on it. it makes me so mad when i turn on my PSP without the faceplate and there are no scratches.

No my LCD is fine. I figure i will buy a new offical faceplate on ebay and actually not be cheap and invest $5 for one of the Screen protectors.

the face place is about $10-20 and shipping is around $15. I also recomend getting the "logitch playgear hard case" its very strong! i dropped my psp in the case and it fell down bout 3 sets of stars and the psp survived without a scratch! (the case wasnt that bad either)
the case is bout $30
for the psp faceplate i say ask "hexitnow" if he has any for sale befor going 2 ebay.

how you manage that i dont know, iv had mine with the original case for 7 months b4 i got the logitch case and my screen only has 3 or 4 tiny scratches. if you clean ur dusty screan with shirts or other clothing STOP THAT RITE NOW!!! (only use the original psp cleaning cloth or the cleaning cloths meant for eye glasses!)
otherwise just get a removable "filmy screen cover" when it gets scratched remove it and put on a new one (ther r bout $1 a pice)

I have had mine since may 2005 and it only has a few scratches on the screen and a chip near the power button (no idea why lol, prob when it fell out of my car when I got out...)
But im just gonna get a new faceplate from Lik-sang and then it will be scratch free again :P
