I know there are a lot of topics out there about that but I am completely overwhelmed. Im really sorry, but I just want to get step-by-step instructions on how to backup my EA Sports games. I don't want to put a mod chip in my PS2 and I just bought the new NCAA 07 Football game and my 06 game messed up after 3 months so I want a backup just in case. Once again I am REALLY sorry, but there are just so many different ways to do it. I am just looking for step-by-step instructions on making a backup that actually works in my PS2. My PS2 is the regular one, not the slim one. However, I do have a slim one as well so whatever is going to be easier and cheaper. I know how annoying this probably is and I honestly am sorry, but if someone can help me I would appreciate it GREATLY! There is just so many ways to do it and I am just looking for the best one. I have searched all over the place and came across this website and am praying someone can help. Also, if it means anything I promise I did buy the game, and that I do not plan on selling it or anything like that so I will NOT be doing anything illegal with this, I am just trying to save myself a little hassle and keep myself from having to pay an extra $50 again this year. Thanks so much guys! If there is anything I can help you with let me know and I will try my best.

That guide helped for the most part, but I have a few more questions, thanks you a lot though. I read something about DNAS and how that can keep games from burning right, is there something I need to do to prevent that? And swap magic, what exactly is it, I looked at the website and I am not sure what it is and does it keep me from having to get a mod chip? Im sorry guys, I am not all that great with stuff like this, but I appreciate the help!

Swap Magic is a pressed disc, that allows you to play backups/import games on a non-chipped PS2, used in conjunction with a slide tool, flip top or magic keys dependant on your PS2 version.

DNAS is only for online games, I wouldn't try to go that far just yet, but if you want to play online games, a good choice of modchip is the crystal chip (the only chip that lets you play backup games online without any patching)

In short, refer to the guide above for ripping/burning PS2 games, and one of these two:
- Modchip: matrix infinity green dot, DMS4 Pro, or Crystal Chip
- Swap magic with either slide tool or flip top (for the old PS2) OR magic switch (for the slim PS2)

Thank you so much guys! Is the slide tool or flip top better or does it not matter? (I am going to use my old PS2 model). And is there a particular site I need to go to? I think that should be everything I need, you guys are the best! Thanks so much!

I'd go with a modchip. If you're not a skilled solderer, you can send it to a pro modder. Teammodders.com does excellent work, they modded by PS2 and my Xbox. It'll cost you around $115 with maintainence, the chip, and shipping. It's more in the short term, but will save you time and aggravation in the long term. With a quality chip, there's no rebuilding, swapping, etc. You just put your backup in and play.

If you're set on Swap Magic, use the flip top. The slide card is annoying, and requires more effort. The flip top is definitely a better solution. Mod-chip.com or gocybershopping.com are good sites to order from.
