I just downloaded Super Dragon Ball z yesterday and burned it to a DVD+R and loaded with swap magic, it works fine but on Arcade Mode and Z Survivor, when i beat a guy in 3 rounds or he beats me, the screen freezes saying please wait, i have tried with CDLoader and happens the same ...
I know its a new game but ... someone know how to fix it?

i have a backup of that same game too but i don't have that problem its probably not the Swap Magic or the PS2. It may be that DVD+R but i managed to burn to the worst kind of DVD(Memorex DVD-R) yesterday and i havent had a problem from it. The DVD your burn it too may be damaged. Check that it could be smudge or scratch. If so, just clean it or reburn it with DVD Decrypter at 2x speed. Doesn't need to be rebuilt.

What kind of Media are you using? Post the Media ID.
91. Q. What is the Media ID of a DVD and how can I find it?
A.The Media ID of a DVD is the true measure of it's quality. It contains prerecorded info about the disc's manufacturer. The quality of the disc will vary depending on the media code. The media code isn't visible on the disc or the packaging. To check the media ID, Open DVD Decrypter, insert your disc, and check what it says under Media ID or Manufacturer ID. You can also use a program called DVD Identifier which is very useful. You can find it here: http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/ Compare the Media ID to this link: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm Huge List of Media ID's (Thanks to DogBomb): http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/155431

I don't think it's out in the US yet. Are they 16x Taiyo Yuden's? Since your both reporting the same issue, could be a buggy iso. I'll see what I hear. Hell maybe I'll download it and see. Edit- Downloading now, and yes the USA version is out, I was wrong about that. I have a Matrix Infinity, so even if there's no probs for me, it could be a Swap Magic issue.

I backed up the NTSC-US version. I burned it at 8x to Yuden000T02 with ImgBurn. Played 5 matches on arcade mode, making sure they all went three rounds, and no freezes or hiccups. This pretty much confirms what I already suspected, it's an issue for Swap Magic users or media related.

oh yeah my taiyo yuden is 8X but i dont know the the exact different between 8X and 16X. Maybe 16X better i got no clue. I never heard of 16X is better than 8X though but that may jus be the case. I think its maybe a swap magic issue at best.

16x media is rated for faster burning, and generally not as good a quality as 8x media. For PS2 backups, 16x media is not recommended.
