Well, there might be a higher firmware already. Yesterday they put out a few new PSP games for the US and I have yet to try them on my 1.5 to see their firmware, but il find out soon enough...

yea, to upgrade your rank from newbie, you have to send in some UPC symbols from Kellogg's Rice Krispies to:

You also have to have some points from this website.

Just do that. We've all had to go thru this process. It's a pain. But if you really wanna be cool and if it's ALL ABOUT STATUS to you, that's what you need to do.
