Reading through the forum messages, alot of people seem to have trouble encoding AVI to dvd with certain versions of Nero.
The end result produces a video that is out of sync with the audio.
Can anyone definitively say which version of Nero and Nero Vision work best and don't have this dubbing problem???
I have tried Nero 7.0.8.2, Nero 6.6.0.18 (and NVE 3.2.0.21) which people have recommended along with many others and all to no avail!!
Please help me / us!
i would recommend to stay away from Nero recode (Nero vision) as its horrible to make dvd's with. Look for other free products that does a much better job at turning AVI into dvd. I suggest start by looking into the info in this forum "dvd authoring". You will find that some of the free products are among the best dvd authoring tools avaliable out there rather than paying for Nero and getting the worst quality avaliable (Of course this is all in personal opinion).

I have been using Nero for exactly that reason for a number of years, encountering only a few problems which I managed to solve. This is a Nero forum and you post here "bagging" Nero, if you are unhappy using Nero then it's your choice to use another program, so in the meantime I suggest you either help solve the problems members are encountering with Nero or dont reply.
Do you expect all Nero owners to drop their program and use something else?
@2yyiam, I use Nero 7.0.8.2 and burn a lot of AVI files to DVD without any problems, I use Verbatim discs and ALWAYS burn at 4X, heres an example of how I do it.
no no. As i stated in the end its of personal opinion since i have always had problems with Nero vision for the exact problem described. I am saying nothing about people dropping Nero if it works well for them at all. Its just how "I" see how it works for me and it may be of help to others as well. I didn't reply to just critsise Nero, or to tell everyone to drop the program, but to point out that Nero isnt the only option to do dvd authoring. I am truly sorry if that offended you. My appologies to all Nero vision lovers.
I have no problem burning the DVD, it's the audio sync problem!!!
Could you sned the link for the Nero 7.0.8.2 as I downloaded a version sometime ago but now it won't install as the serial number has expired!!
I've already tried Nero 6.6.0.18 and the audio was out of sync with the video, so Nero 7.0.8.2 remains my last option before trying other applications!
