Hello everyone.

Well, some of the games I burned as backups seem to somewhat messup.
I've tried it on several PS2's, so it's not the PS2's problem.
I burn all my DVD's on 4x speed...should I lower or it make it go higher? I was told to burn at 1x or 2x, but there's also other FAQ's that say burn at 4x or 8x, so I don't know which one to trust...heh.

no 4x is fine (on a 8x disc)... general rule is to burn at half the rated speed :)

Well, that won't really fix my problem.
I've burned several copies and try em all...same result.

what media do you use? And do you use modchip/swap magic? You said "some", so other games work?

Dan168 is correct, as usual :)
burning at 4X on an 8X DVD is the normal speed, i have done hundreds that way and they work fine. The quality of the media you use may be the cause of the problem. Out of date firmware on your burner may be the problem as well.
and depending on which program you use setting the burn speed to 1X may not even work. Like DVD Decrypter for example. I can set it to 1X all day long and it will still burn the disc at the optimal speed it thinks is right (which is always correct when i do it)
I stick in an 8X disc, set it to 1X, and it will burn them at about 3.8X every time. But since it always worked i did not question it.

also list what games are giving you a problem, if using swap magic then rebuilding the ISO may also help.
