Hey guys I have been using DVD Rebuilder for a while now to back up my movies. I would get certain titles that when I would burn (using Nero of course) the video reallocation error would come up. I would ignore and continue. I thought it was the way that Rebuilder or DVD Decrypter were doing things. I have now switched to AnyDVD and realized that certain titles have extra content besides the VIDEO_TS folder (stuff like DVD-Rom features). I recently backed up a DVD and added the content and everything was fine. Could this be the reason for the video reallocation error I was getting?

I did a google search and this is what I came up with from a Digital-Digest forum responce:

Your posting piqued my curiosity, so I did a little research for kicks and giggles.

Although not necessarily the only event to cause Nero to generate the "file allocation" message - ANY time your DVD "package" includes an empty .VOB (-0- bytes), Nero will generate this message. Proceed as is normal and your burn should be fine.

It's important to understand that, although a .VOB may contain -0- bytes, it does NOT mean that you can delete it from the DVD "package". On the contrary, for at least some DVD players, the empty file is necessary for proper playback...

Yes it makes sense. Every back up I have made where I have ignored the error has played fine. I thought it was something like this. Just out of curiosity, the AnyDVD ripper has an option that asks to remove blank cells is that what it's referring to?
