i have a "new" computer power suply that has the built in motherboard detection thing. it will not give out any power unless conected to a mother board. I only need to power one hard drive inside my PS2 system. I was wondering if there is some way to "trick" the power suply into thinking there is a mother board so i can get power out from it?

Thanks

Lay back and envision "The Twilight Zone" music surrounding your area. You have got to be kidding, right?

I don't have a PS2 and probably never will, but as I understand it, you plug them in and play the games that you purchase for the PS2. What am I missing here???

Wait, how is it cheaper to buy a new power supply than to just buy the PS2 network adaptor that has the power hookup for the HDD? Wouldn't that make more sense?
