Quick Customizing Question

Well I just added a new background to my 1.5 PSP, with PSPersonalize. That worked fine and dandy. Now I want to go further. I was wondering if it was possible to change the theme color to s different them color. Because when you first load up it shows the original green and when you go to USB Connection, etc. I dont want to get rid of it just change it to the January one, the silverish one, it will match my background much better. Hope I explained enough, any help would be great.

There isn't a way. Mine does the same thing and I flashed new backgrounds for every month. I dont know maybe someone knows something I dont so well see.

I've got an idea now, thanks to your question, R1o1:
You know how PSPersonalize changes your pics and you have to have them no bigger than 300 x 170? Well, if I take the wallpaper that I have set (this is for 2.71 emu, btw) and take the same wallpaper and set it in the Flash folders, I won't see the ugly colour teal for this month for a split second while my wallpaper loads after returning to the XMB. It'll show the one I have in the flash and then the one I have set via the wallpaper option in 2.71 so you won't see ANY transition...

I have tried that. Flashed all kinds of stuff and the teal and other colors are still there. And i also didnt use psppersonalize. Have done it before with that one but switched to x-flash. After you try it tho u should post back your results. :) Im curious as to what happens.

When you're in 2.71 emu, you can choose to have a pic set as your wallpaper thru the PHOTO menu, right? Well, even thos you set that as your wallpaper, before it loads from the PHOTO folder, (like when you're returning from a game to the XMB), it still has to have some reference point. The reference point is the STOCK wallpaper, which I see for a split second while it loads my CUSTOM wallpaper. The stock wallpaper is the ugly a$$ colour teal, so if I go into the Flash folder for 2.71 emulation and replace the teal wallpaper (just as PSPersonalize would w/ 1.50 ACTUAL flash) w/ a copy of the wallpaper I have set thru the PHOTO folder, it will show that copy I placed in there b/c it's from that 'point of reference' I was talking about and then it will show the wallpaper I have set thru the PHOTO folder. So I won't see the teal wallpaper, I'll see the wallpaper I put in place of it - in other words "07" sized at 300 x 170. Just like what you see when you use PSPersonalize and then into the wallpaper I chose. I don't know... is that any clearer???

I got another question. When I changed the Background on my 1.5 with PSPpersonalize, it seemed to have messed up EBOOT icond for DevHook. From the original EBOOT both th eicon and the background are messed up. But on a custom EBOOT I made on the icon is messed up. Do you guiys have any ideas why this is happening?

When you use custom background over a certain size it makes the icons show up weird no way to fix it except for usin a background with a very very small size. My custom backgrounds are flat black and like 6 kilobytes in size, no messed up icons either.

it happens sometimes, its due to the resolution of the icon

Use a background thats smaller in size. Like i said my flat black ones are about 6 kilobytes and I have no funky lookin icons.

Regarding your question R1o1:
Yes, you can fix that problem. I know exactly what you're talkin about. The DevHook icon now shows up in a funky Grey and Black and it looks awful. I'll upload a % folder EBOOT for you in a little bit. I have to finish my upload of the BOOT.BIN and EBOOT.BIN for Syphon Filter for some dudes and my PC right now is God awful slow.
@ hex:
I tried that wallpaper dealio. It worked before for v1.50 b/c there was no Web browser, RSS channel (or w/e that is) or Location free player. I DID work in 2.71, but those aforementioned icons are the only ones that screw up. So I don't really wanna keep it. My idea was dead on tho... it actually looked good for a minute. Oh, well...
