When I transfer a video to K:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01 it takes up memory but it says;
"There are no videos"
I think I've got the folder names right. Should the '100MNV01' folder be called something different becuase the PSP is a japanese import?
Help me out. This is annoying.

There is two types of MPEG4 that the PSP,s native player can play, and they are:
SP-> M4Vxxxxx.MP4 which goes here MP_ROOT\100MNV01\M4Vxxxxx.MP4
AVC-> MAQxxxxx.MP4 which goes here MP_ROOT\100ANV01\MAQxxxxx.MP4
Its important that these go in there respective folders.

Is it true that you have to have a .THM file to accompany the video for the PSP to recognze that there is a video there?

With SP yes i think you do have to, but SP is old, even with a 1.50 PSP you can watch full res 480x272 AVC movies so there really is no need for SP anymore.
