Im out of the us on vacation. im in filesharingheaven!!!! No stupid lawsuits or anything. It is illegl here but nobody enforces it. well, im using limewire and everytime i search for a dvd, i keep getting porn results. Is there a way to get rid of this? (not that i dont like porn, its just that it gets in the way of my search results.)
sorry. I thought it was pretty cool. It was just a temperary one anyway. Im putting in a new sig. BTW, your right. Theres so much malware! I got a virus about 2 days ago. Luckily, i was able to get rid of it WHEW!
Sorry to Hijack the thread, but it caught my eye since I'm a LimeWire basic user. I just wanna know how much risk I'm facing, malware wise not legal issues.
* Bearshare (offers a paid version without spyware)

* E-Donkey AKA Overnet (Versions prior to 1.2 available on June 1, '05 bundle adware. 1.2 is clean)

* Ares (Official site offers a "Lite" version without the adware bundles)
* Various BitTorrent Clients (See warning below about open source clients)

If you have limewire, uninstall and run a ad aware scan or with any anti malware tool thats reilable.
Thanks for the list. One thing that doesn't make sense is I have Ad-Aware with latest definitions (downloaded them two days ago) and doesn't point to LimeWire as spyware. Could you explain?
