installed devhook 0.44 but now gta umd will not load, help!!

Hi, i installed devhook 0.44 so that i could run loco roco. i orginally had a 1.5 psp and used umdemulaor etc to run other iso's. since ive installed devhook, its upgraded my psp to 7.5!!
ive tried devhook and it runs the roco loco fine , but after buying gta liberty city umd today, gta wont load! it tries and then comes up with the error "the game could not be started FFFFFED3" roco loco still works fine
can anybody help me, id like to be able to loads iso's but still be able to run my original gta umd.
any help would be appreciated, thanks!

hi, ill try,
i bought a 1.5 psp
ive used various emulators and ran various iso's. buti wanted to run roco loco iso and so installed latest devhook 0.44
after installing, its upgraded my psp to 7.5?
rocoloco runs fine aswell as a few other iso's
however, i bought a used copy of gta today cos the iso's of gta ive tried previously lag whenever i load it using devhook. i thought a bought copy wud be better.
but, when i try and load gta umd, it jut comes up with the error above.
i dont know if i shud downgrade back to 1.5 and if so, is it safe to downgrade from 7,5 to lower version?

There is no version 7.5. It just had a version changer change it to say 7.5. What are the options you are using devhook?

hi,
im not using devhook to run gta, im loading the original umd. what options are you describing?
is there a version changer that i can use to make it back to 1.5? or is there someway to run the gta umd?

Oh thats why it wont load.......GTA requires either firmware 2.0 or 2.6. You need to emulate the firmware in devhook then try playing the game.

thanks for your help so far..
I think ive tried this,
ive loaded up devhook...
and done the following options...
umd select - chosen umd disk
umd mount - umd disc
umd version - 2.xx > 2.00
firmware - 2.0
cpu clock - (no changed so its set on 222mhz /111mhz
boot select - not changed cos options say 1.5 only?
other - not changed cos dont know what it does.
ok, so this is where im up to... i run start... and the psp just crashes. just turns off?

The firmware version is wrong is your problem. Download this for your psp....http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/648...It's devhook .45, the ultimate installer so it includes all the firmware files. Use all the same settings but switch the firmware version to 2.71. Thats what i'm using and it runs perfect. Also when you run devhook you cant tell it to run 2.0 firmware unless the firmware files are installed. Thats why it shut your psp off.

Not really...i was thinkin about it a bit....i wanna try it just to see what would happen. Maybe emulate 2.6 and tell it to update to 2.71. That is gonna suck if it actually flashes the update to flash and not the memstick. But i dont think it would since like i said earlier, flash access is redirected to the memstick. What about you any more ideas?

well you can emulated 2.5 too so emulate that and update to 2.6 so if anyrhing goes wrong and it flashed to the main flash you can still go back to 1.5 :)

Aye thats an excellent idea...didnt even think about that :). Glad I got you to think for me. Im gonna try that later...now all I have to do is find my darn charger.

I was pondering this a lil more and I bet the update file redirects flash access to the flash considering thats where it's supposed to put the files. Kinda like when devhook starts up it redirects flash to the memstick. I dont know if that makes sense...thinking and hangovers dont mix and I cant word myself the way I want to.

I actually own a 1.50 as well, installed devhook 0.44, tried to run loco roco, all it does is constantly freeze. Is there anything im missing here?? the torrent file for the ISO was claimed by over 6 people working. Is there any settings files that were tweaked as well to get this to work or?

Ok, Downloaded that, the only new thing ive noticed is it wants me to upgrade my firmware to 2.71 / 2.6, should I do so?? does it auto delete afterwards or what??
