IVE DONE EVERYTHING POSSIBLE .. trying to backup my ps2 socom 2 game nothing works ive spent hundred of dollars i dont not have a modchip is there a way to backup socom 2 with out a modchip GET BACK TO ME

do you have anyway to play back-ups on the ps2?
all you have to do is download DVD Decrypter and rip the game to the PC and then use it to burn it on DVD-R burn at a slow speed and use a good DVD-R like verbatim...

do you have swap magic or a modchip to play this back-up? if not it will not load..and i hope you dont wanna play online with this game becuz that wont work either.....and use DVD-R...

You will need some kind of mod to play backups like swap magic (I recommend fliptop) or mod chip and I think you can actually play online with patching dnas code look it up on ps2 dvd backups forum it'll let you know what you need to do, you might have to rebuild but am not sure look it up. Hope this helps

No, but like I said before and recommend get swapmagic with fliptop very easy to install and works great I just got it about two weeks and had no problems. Just try that.the cool that about that is you can still play online with backups fairlys easy patching dnas code and you can learn how by going to ps2 backup forum

Not with Socom 2 he can't.
You cannot use backups of it to play online, just like Socom 1.
And why is this in the xbox forums?

i do believe you could patch the Dna$ but you would have to do a lot of searching and reading....you could play it online but i dont know how long untill you get caught...

Only the PAL version goes online with a backup. But you do need a PAL Central Station account for that.
