I just bought a Belkin CAT5e Crossover Patch Cable to FTP to my Xbox, problem is, from the very first step, the light on the back of the PC won't turn on when I plug it in, does it have to be set up on both the Xbox and PC for it to recognize it as a cable? Or is it just the wrong cable and won't recognize it at all?

Note: I'm running Windows 98SE on a Gateway 2000 PC. In case that makes any difference.
