ok ive been backing my ps2 games up using dvd deycrypter and had no problems until today when i try to copy hitman blood money using dvd deycrypter iso read option it keeps saying failed to read secter ive not had this problem before and i get the same problem when i try to back up tara croft tomb raider legend please can someone help me i am on the verge of smashing my computer

there are a number of possibilities as to why that happens.

1. The games are scratched.
2. They're protected in some way that disables reading from a PC.
3. DVD Decrypter may not be able to override some of the protection, so use something like Alcohol 120%. So far, it's had 100% success rate for me, compared to only 60% for DVD Decrypter

Most likely the disc is scratched or dirty. PS2 games aren't copy protected, that's definitely not the issue. Try using Alcohol 120% to backup the disc, it's my go to program for scratched or damaged discs.

I say scratched or dirty disc as well.
I have both of those games so i know they can be backed up.
Check your discs, look for scratches and clean the disc with a
soft lint free cloth and give it another try.

Yeah way too early to say it's the burner. If he updates firmware, tries other programs, and goes through all the other procedures, then maybe you could say it's the burner.
