I've just started using UTorrent (switched from Azureus) after Azureus started running incredibly slowly for some reason. It's all fine and dandy, etc., except the problem is that I can't figure out how to configure for a private tracker for the life of me.

Anyone know how to set up UTorrent to download for a private tracker? Does this affect downloads from public trackers at all (Azureus began DL'ing slowly pretty soon after I started using a private tracker, even on public torrents).

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I mean if the tracker requires registration, requiring me to input a username and password.

Private trackers require you to sign up first before being able to download any torrents.
so just d/l a torrent and you can run it.

You don't need to give your CLIENT the pw.

You login to the site with your password via your browser. Then when you d/l the torrent, it automagically creates a code keying that torrent to your IP address...allowing you to download automatically assuming your torrent client IP matches your computer IP. The only reason it wouldn't match was if you were using a proxy on one and not the other.
