I recently got the PAL version of Gauntlet Seven Sorrows and when i play it with my swap magic everything is fine except i cannot see a little portion of the bottem. Now i am using the ps2 PAL to NTSC progfram and in the guide it says to set the y fix offset to 48 (but to raise it if u need to see more of the bottem). If I do raise it to eh next level, 56, will it cut off all the top or will it be fine?

It won't be perfectly centered, no matter what. Raising the offset too high will likely result in a backup that doesn't boot at all. Just get it the best you can and make due with it.
