I'm running version 1.50 (original software, I didn't downgrade).

I installed devhook and ran it. it got to the white-font-on-black-background AUTO RUN screen. And.. it's frozen. Can't move anything. I can't even reboot the goddamn system. what is this crap.

I'm simply trying to make Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth playable on my system without having to give up emulation.

Pull the battery and reinstall it again. My guess is that you installed it incorrectly.

what did I do wrong? all I did was upload the two folders in the RAR (dh and PSP) to the memstick's root. what am I supposed to run after that? the devhook installer, right?

it also didn't occur to me to pull the battery, thank you.

now when I copy the two devhook folders onto my PSP, I go to games > memory stick and the folders aren't even anywhere therein. then when I go back to the USB mode, the PSP's memstick root looks like it did before I even copied the folders.

Wait.. the folders show up on the memory stick root now. Devhook just does not show up on the PSP. what the f*ck is this, I mean seriously. I should be reduced to doing voodoo dances to get this thing to f*cking work.

in PSP>GAME i only see one devhook file for english. there should be one like DevHook and another like DevHook%

delete Ger if you not german and look inside the Eng DevHook folder to see if there is two seperate folder. If there is one with % and without it, place those in the PSP>GAME.

Also do this for the DevHookInstall folder there.

I don't see a german folder.

each of those three folders only have an eboot.pbp file in them.

OK, I got that menu that crashed me before working by using this:

http://planetpsp.org/downloads/Devhook044_FULLPACKAGE_271_planetp...

seems it's a magic bullet.

okay, I got it working. that thing I linked to is MAGIC. MAAAAGIC.

thanks for the help.

ok, I lied, it worked the first time but I can't get it to work again. Any time I choose the firmware and choose "start", it either turns off or crashes (making me pop out the battery again).

what do I choose for "UMD Mount"?

whatever option I choose now, it goes to a PSP logo and pretty much crashes.

OK.. I think the reason why is because I chose 333 mhz as the clock speed. I swapped it to 222 and.. it works.

Let it be known that Valkyrie Profile will crash on bootup if you set the clockspeed to 333mhz.

All games do that on 333 when trying to directly load it up straight out of devhook.
