I use the 2 programs. AOA DVD Ripper and IM TOO DVD ripper. They are both very good besides one thing - the audio and video isn't together at the same time. There is like a second difference. The people's mouths move, yet no words are comming out until a second later. I tried multiple DVD's. Any idea on why this is happening? How can I fix it?

the problem is video and audio are out of sync? you'd better check your settings which probabley caused this. otherwise, you can return to the default settings and rip it again. since i am new to the conversion job i can not offer further advices except these words, maybe it would be helpful

Yeah, but thanks banboooo anyways!
Does anyone know a good program to make AVI's into different DVD-burnable .vob, .ifo... I wanna get this one AVI of mine back onto a DVD, but it first needs to be converted.
Any ideas of a good program? (money really isn't an option, but free programs are better:) )

here ya go, this program is very popular around here:
http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/ the free version leaves a watermark logo on the final output... but if you buy it that will be deleted on your next conversion..... try it out.. it's fast and easy and even makes menus!

OK so I tried converting my .avi files by Nero and burning then onto a disk. It worked.. sorta. The video is all choppy and slow. I mean, it's like the picture freezes for a second b4 it goes to the next picture. The sound is perfect though. What's wrong?
Oh and I don't like convertXtoDVD because it expands the video the whole screen length instead of keeping it a rectangle. The sides gets cut off...
