I have two separate AVI files that I need to join. When I run them through AVI-MPEG-RM-WMV Joiner it says the files can not be joined because they have different audio sample rates.

What's the easiest way to re-sample the audio files so they are join-able? I need to run them through TMPGEnc so I can burn them to DVD.

Have a look at this guide for VirtualDub, not sure if it will work for other programs, though:http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/309635 Why not just use TMPGEnc to encode the files and then use it to join the mpg files? I have used it on hundreds of files and its never failed. Fast, too. If you're interested - Main page>MPEG Tools>Merge and Cut, add your mpg in the order to join, browse to where you want, name as you wish and hit run. This will only join mpg but you will never know where the join was.

I followed the VirtualDub tutorial in the thread but when I get to the part of loading the WAV from my first AVI file in HeadAC3he it gives me this error:

"Can Not Find Data Chunk!"

Any ideas?

Sorry, none here. I never looked beyond TMPGEnc when VirtualDub, AVI Joiner etc failed and TMPGEnc never has.

@ J8son - did you ever find a fix for this? I'm running into the exact same problems - wanting to join 2 AVI files with different audio sample rates (using VirtualDub) and now with headsc3he and the data chunk from trying to correct the first problem... I guess maybe I need to look at TMPGEnc?
