i already told you that the cheapest and one of the best is flying scootsman. he's safe for sure he can get u fixed with a green dot for 50 pounds. the cheapest price and probably one of the fastest. but it's ok if u wanna try ghostfitters i heard they are great. they are also safe.am not sure about their price though.
am a londer too. and they are quite some shops that install around oxford area . but they cost. and they luck matrix infinity. so at the end of the day it depends on what and who u prefer making a deaö with.

thanx axmad but i think £50 is too much. g2f do it less then 60 arnd 57 so scotsman are cheap but they are still expensive. do you think matrix infinity orange dot will be ok for ps2 version 9. i was planning to mod my ps2 at hom but it mite b 2 risky as i opened it up and the that there wasnt much space for soldering. i m gona try to hook my uncle coz he does the solddering for computers and repairs.
thnx mate

Hi people
I was just browsing through the PS2 forum's, and in some of the forum's, some people's attitude's/remarks toward's other's are really really negative, i am talking about the few people that are so rude regarding Swap magic/HDAdvance and every other kind of mod chip, people do/will continue to buy such thing's for their PS2 because at the time it is what seem's like a good idea for them, nobody like's to hear other's being so negative, personally i have used quite a few of these item's myself, and they are all good, and i have never had any real problems, and HDAdvance is a great utility, and has a lot of features, although i have made a couple of costly mistakes, by going around and around with buying these item's, but they were good for me, so that is all right.
Even though i have just had my three year old PS2 chipped with the Matrix Infinity version 1.88, i still use HDAdvance 3.00 because ui have over thirty five games, stored on my 200 gig H.D.D
Just my tuppence worth, if you have nasty or negative points about anything, kepp them to yourself ?? :-D

I have a modchip but also SwapMagic so that I can play online through backup discs, I keep the original's stowed away so they don't go walking off.

Have you ever installed a PS2 modchip?
If so then you're pretty damn good cause just lookin at those bios connections and how small they are baffles me.

Yes, installing a chip in a PS2 is not for amateuers. There are 18-20 solder points right along the mobo. Pay a pro to do it unless you're an experienced solderer.
http://www.teammodders.com does great work, modded my Xbox and my PS2.
The most current version of the MI is the Green Dot, the other versions have been discontinued. Hardware wise it's identical to the older models, the main difference is that the Green Dot is fully compatible with the v14 PS2.

Hi
I myself have used both of these two companie's gameworlddirect, and also ghost2fitters, and personally i would defo recommend ghost2fitter's they kept me informaed fully at every single stage of the process, they were are very reasonably priced, and they professionally modded my PS2 with the Matrix Infinity Chip version 1.88 and i got it back exactly when they said it would arrive, and to me that is very important, good VFM (value for money) and the personal call from one of the technician's to my house was a very nice touch indeed, and i would use them again, without a doubt, gameworld direct ont eh other hand, i would NOT buy or even call them agin, i purchased swapmagic version 3 from them and the slide, tool and a couple of day's intot he purchase i was having problem's so i sent them an email , and then i called them, and also left another email, and no one got back to me at all??
Their loss not mine.
Do yourself and get your mod professionally installed by ghost2fitter's, unless that is you are going to save a lot of money. (but with modchip's i would not have thought so)
