Hi. My torrents are downloading really slowly with uTorrent, which is very uncharacteristic of my computer. They used to run at like, 120-150 Kb/s, and now they're only downloading at like 5 Kb/s, with a spike of 20 Kb/s occasionally.

Some files on my compy got corrupted, so I had to delete and redownload uTorrent. I had the ports forwarded before, and the router settings are still the same and I have the same port as before, but now it shows that it is not forwarded.

I have no idea what happened, and this is very frustrating. Does anyone have any ideas to help?

How many seed's and peer's are there on that torrent?

Right now I have 7 connected, but I had this same torrent downloading before at much higher speeds, and I just had to resume it.

Also, I looked on portforwarding.com, and my router doesn't appear to be there...I have Linksys BEFSR41. When I look at all of the Linksys ones at the site, none of the software faces looks the same as mine.

the torrent MAY have been FAST before but that does NOT mean it will be fast again, because downloading using bittorrent clients means you have to rely on the uploading speeds of your fellow peers and seeds to get a good download speed, when you downloaded that torrent for the first time there may have been peers with good up speeds so you was able to leech faster of them, at the moment there may only be people who dont uppload as much, so unless you can go around paying for everyone to have a better internet connection, you are going to have to stick with the speed you got or will get.

Another LESS likely possibilty is that you may have been AFFECTED BY A FAIR USAGE POLICY
call your isp to find out.
Or check your ISP provided email account.
