I have a wireless USB adapter that said it is compatible with PSP. when i try to connect to tha internet it gives me a DNS error (8041040F)

heeeeelp meeeee! ask me for further details.

Hows your signal strength buddy, is your router encrypted with any wep key at all?, Oh and also does your router support wireless B adapters?

it supports g+b but its not a router, its a USB dongle type thing. i have turned WEP encryption off and i'm right next to the adapter so i have 100% signal strength.

Ok the usb wireless 'reciever'
THis is for connecting to the pc which is the same as a usb NIC card. It wont spit out internet just take it in.

Unles you have somethin like WiFiMax

Dude you oughta have a router or an internet feed like ipirate said, the answer to your prob would be to buy a wireless router which supports 802.11g/b

Its called SWMULZ-5400 by safecom. I think it si exactly the same model as Wifi Max but with a different name. When i bought it on Ebay it said it was Wifi max.

I have a router with a wep key and the router has a 100% signal strength where ever I go in my house btu I can't play online

it has 'access point' and 'station' modes

ye thnx. I have. Now I am getting a DNS problem: It seays it cant connect to the DNS server, but the IP worked this time.

on windows Control Panel>Network Connections> Your network > properties>Internet Protocal DNS will be there.


DO youself a favour and get and a wireless router.
