Uninstalling and Reinstalling drivers

Ok, I've been having problems with a while that I posted on this forum before regarding constant computer crashes and the blue screen message DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL conjstantly appearing. Well, it's recently gotten to the point that I can't do anything on my computer without it crashing, so I've decided that it's time I followed the advice given and uninstall and reinstall all my drivers to try and find the problem.
So, I'm relativly new to this process, so I was wondering how exactly I uninstall and reinstall all my drivers, in a quick and efficent way that'll help me pinpoint the problem driver as soon as possible.
Thanks to anyone who can help me in solving what should be a relativly simple problem for the experts here on the forum.

Right click my computer. Or go into system in the control panel. Go to device manager. Click the components you want to uninstall. Right click go to uninstall driver. And restart. All done :-)

So that's uninstalling. But how do you reinstall the driver once you've uninstalled it?

Ahh well basically say you have an for example take my card. The X1800GTO Sapphire Graphics card.
Being from a company called sapphire i would search this in google. Then i would click support from there website. Then in my case i just click drivers and put in my graphics card and it comes up with the driver i need. Sometimes you have to go a download section though. But just go throught your piece of hardwares manafacturers website.
Once downloaded the driver. Its self explanatory. Double click the file click install reboot and you away!

Ok, I need some more help. I managed to find a program called Driver Detective that tells me what drivers installed on my computer are good and what ones are bad and need updating. After several crashes in the midle of the process, I finally managed to get the list of good/bad drivers produced.
Anyway, I need to get drivers for the following devices on my computer. Can anyone link me up with drivers for the following (I would look for these myself, but my computer is crashing so much that I can't get anywhere with a search right now, let alone finding these drivers)-
Display Adapters- S3 Graphics Inc Savage 4
IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers- VIA Bus Master IDE Controller
Sound, Video and Games controllers- Creative Audio PCI (ES1371,ES1373) (WDN)
Modem- Intel (R) 536EP Modem
Network Adapters- 3COM Etherlink XL 10/100 PCI For Complete PC Management NIC (3C905C-TX)
Hopefully I've spelled all those correctly. There's more, but those are the main one's I was able to note down before the computer crashed. I prefer direct links so I can get stuff downloaded quickly before my computer crashes again

I really wouldnt advise using that kind off programme. If i were you id just uninstall the driver. When you reboot your pc will (Hopefully) automatically install a driver for it. Probably not the latest but you can work on that later without your system crashing.
Try that. I would if i were you.

Ok, I've solved the problem driver. It was the display (or graphics) driver that needed to be re-installed. However, the blue screen's may be gone, but I'm still getting random crashes when I use the computer for a spell longer than 20 minutes.
I think it could be an overheating issue, so what can I do to stop this happening, if anything (I think that the overheating might be caused by the current heatwave I'm having where I live).

Ahh thats good congrats!!
Heating wise run down your local computer shop and buy some compressed air. Remove all that dust that will be in there and then try!

To be honest, I'm thinking of just getting a new PC. This one's completely out of date for my needs (to prove my point, I only have 128MB of RAM, that's how out of date it is), plus I need a ton of other new stuff for it (new graphics card, new sound card, new monitor, etc). I've had lots of problems with it before too, so I'm fed up of it and just want a new, more reliable computer instead.

Whats your budget?- £500-600 British Pounds (roughly $900 to $1100)
Whats your primary use for a computer?- Burning DVD's (I also surf the internet and play games quite a bit)

Are you sure? You will be missing out if you dont. You dont need any techinchal skill really. Its so easy theese days you just plug bits together.
If you insist i will find you a good'en for £600 though but youl be missing out.

Yes, I'm pretty sure than I'd rather buy a system than build it myself. I'm actually thinking about getting a laptop rather than a desktop system, mainly because overheating will no longer be a big issue, plus I'll be able to take on the go with me to college and elsewhere (which of course would just be ridiculous to try and do with a desktop computer).
Oh, and I am wiling to go over £600 if it means a better peforming system, but not too much over (maybe up to £700).

Also if i were you id wait a little bit before buying your next computer. Maybe that way you might benefit from the price drop.

laptops overheat more than towers, not as upgradeable as towers & lot more expensive than towers.
