Does it scroll once or continuously? If it scrolls once, then its not really a problem, because on some ps2's it scrolls once when its loading, then after that its okay, while on others it doesnt do it at all, it does it on my cousins ps2, but using his backup and SM3 on mine, it doesnt, so it has something to do with the system i suppose. But if its continuous, then there might be something else.

Have you tried a DVD-R disk, and try backing up a different game if you havnt yet, and see if the problem persists, and one more thing you can do to make sure its not the swap magic causing the problem, is load up swap magic, and boot an original game with it.

i haven't tried a DVD-R disk at all, dont really know the difference between the two so i always bought +R :P

i just tried booting my original Kingdom Hearts 2 with swapdisk and there was no problems at all.

i've tried it with 5 different games, and they all boot up fine but have the shaking =\ also tried changing the video mode between all the possible ones, (PAL, Normal, forgot the last one)

i guess i should go get a few DVD-R dvds and try that then?

sounds like a video mode issue (playing PAL on NTSC) but you said you tried different video modes within swap magic. Just to be sure I'd say backup that original of kingdom hearts 2 you have and test out the backup with sm.

i've tried with both Nero and DVD-Decrypter, used Nero for the KH2 backup, and also a few of the others i'm trying since it lets me change the booktype to DVD-ROM and DVD-Decrypter doesnt

also have the latest dvd drivers for my drive and the newest Nero >_<

Try making a backup in another drive, and see if it makes a difference, only try once, too many times wont get you anywhere.

since your backup of kingdom hearts 2 worked your problem is definatly that you're trying to play PAL games on an NTSC system. Also, I would edit my post if I were you since no piracy talk is allowed on this forum and what you're talking about is piracy.

NTSC DNAS threads.

WEstar is right, no piracy talk aloud.
Anywayz, if its working when you make a copy from an original disk, then that means that it can be previous copies are not good, which is unlikely, just backup the originals, you shouldnt be renting and copying game though, its against the law. :P

oops didnt know that was considered piracy here :o just copied it to see if it would work~ the swapmagic gives me an option to pick NTSC, PAL, Normal, so i thought that would allow me to play PAL games as long as i choose PAL?

sorry bout the previous post :p

Yes, it will allow you to play PAL games if you choose that option, i dont think it has anything to do with that, because when i load games, even import backups work perfect with the NORMAL option, it automatically selects what is appropriate i suppose. You can find out if a game is PAL, or NTSC be looking at the 4 letter code before its number on the insert, a PAL disk will normally start with SLES-XXXXX and a NTSC disk starts of with SLUS-XXXXX.

ah i see, i know one of them for sure is a PAL, however with normal and PAL mode i get the same result...even loads up with NTSC select but still shakey o.o;

thanks for all the help =)

Then i dont see why there should be a problem, the only conclusion i can come to is your TV not being able to take different frequencies, if you have a NTSC tv, are you sure it can play PAL, and the same vice versa. have you tried on another TV?
