you prolly have the wrong settings then because I just played this game yesterday. Try these settings and post back if they work.

UMD SELECT - iso you wanna play
UMD MOUNT - ISO ANYUMD
UMD VERSION - 2.xx --> 2.00
FIRMWARE - 2.71
CPU CLOCK - 222
BOOT SELECT - reboot xmb
and leave other where it is.

Are u sure you dont have the cpu clock set to 333. That happens when the cpu clock is set to 333. Also did you use the ultimate installer or the manual installer?

If you didnt rip the game yourself I would suggest bad rip then. I backed up this game right after I bought it and played yesterday with the .iso and also the UMD. When you look at the bottom what is the preload address?

To make sure your settings are correct, there's this folder verification thing that Booster manipulated. It was originally by $ony and Booster copied the page and incorporated his own code. It's for the n00bs to make sure they've got the folders installed correctly amongst other things. I've actually linked to it thru my site.

Check it out:

You go to my site, and look for PSP Tester. You must have your PSP plugged in and it will check your PSP and let you know if you need to change anything. Check it out!

Also when you used the ultimate installer did you delete the old devhook or just slap the new one on?

Your rip of GTA is more then likely bad. You can always try formatting your stick and then reinstalling devhook. But who's to say if that's going to work or not.
