Hello, I just recently downloaded a game (Beatmania IIDX 11th RED) and I thought it would come in an ISO file and easily burn it to a DVD. But it did not come in an .iso file. It came in seperate files like "Modules" "DATA1" "DATA2" "SLMP_664.26" "SYSTEM". I have no idea how to burn these on a DVD to make them work on a PS2 with a swap magic fliptop. If you guys can giv eme advice, it would be much appriciated.

So you downloaded the files 1 by 1?

No, they came in a rar archive and I extracted them to find a folder with those files in it.

then you have to use Nero Burning Rom and ISO to rebuild an ISO and burn it. The only person who taught me this told me you need the original file order to do this, others have told me you can just drop the files into Nero Burning Rom (UDF/ISO option under DVD tab)
in any order and burn it.
Are you sure that they were rar files? How many did you have?
Some people have the wrong fie types associated with WinRAR and then everything has the WinRAR icon. So they extract it and later find out they were not arar files.

Seems to me he knows what he's doing on this. I feel ya on the extracting what you think is an .iso and getting the damn folder structure. What you need is for someone to open ISO Buster and give you the file order from top to bottom for the .iso file. And since I don't have that particular game, I can't help at all.
Anyone out there have this game? If so can you kindly post the file order so darktidus can rebuild it?

Personally, I think he's extracted too far from the rar archives and ended up extracting from the iso as well.
Un-associate WinRAR with iso files, then re-extract.

The stats would indeed be in favor of this.

Good call ace, that's exactly what he did. What's the extension of the file darktidus? I.E. is it rar, iso, what? Just because the picture behind the file is a WinRAR icon, doesn't mean it's a rar file. It just means that the default file association in Windows for isos is with WinRAR. I.E. if Winamp is your default media player, media files will have a Winamp icon behind them.

No, let me explain. Here is what happened. I downloaded a torrent from bemaniso tracker and I THOUGHT it was going to come in as .ISO file. But when the download was finished, it was in a WinRAR archive and I extracted it. Then, in the folder I extracted, it came those files. Just seperate files. It's the same type of files that you find when you put a PS2 disk in your Comppy (For most games). I'm just not sure how to make it work on a PS2 if a burn it on a DVD-R disk.

darktidus, if you still have WinRAR associated with iso files, then the icon for the iso file will be a rar archive icon, meaning you will think it is a rar archive, when it is actually an iso.
Ive got over 1000 games, the majority of which were downloaded, and have yet to come across any where the contents of an archive are the games' files. The download is either an archive, with image file inside, or an image file.
Just make sure that the iso extension isnt associated with WinRAR. As much for your own piece of mind as anything else.

Ok guys, I've had the exact same thing happen to me. Some newbie uploads on a torrent site, but instead of making the archive out of the .iso file, they make an archive of an extracted iso file. So he has all the files, as he's said before... He needs someone to post the file order so he can rebuilt it into an .iso
I don't have the game but I could've helped on this about 4 days ago.. My guess was good.. I should bet on the longshots in horse racing..

Frankly I don't know how to explain this more simply. There's stickies on WinRAR, read them. You've been told what do, it's up to you to take some initiative and figure it out.

I think we're thinking on 2 different wavelegnths. Hopefully he can check his WinRAR settings and make sure it doesn't have .iso checked. But he's not having a problem with WinRAR.
More than likely, whoever uploaded this torrent got the files off usenet. alot of people in alt.binaries.dvd.ps2 post just the extracted iso files. It comes like a normal torrent. just when he extracts the .001 rar file, it gives him the folder structure.
He originally got what you would get if you extracted the .iso yourself to a folder. He only got the folder, never the .iso
He needs the file order as listed in ISO buster so he can rebuilt the file with cdvd gen. I can't explain it more simply for him.

This works as well.

If that's the case, he can just burn a UDF/ISO DVD. In effect, that's not really different than if he extracted the iso. I see what you're saying, that if all the game files aren't present, then it wouldn't work. However, he's been told a couple times what to do. I still think he extracted a rar archive too far. If you look at his previous posts, that's what I see anyway. He's been told at least three times to try burning a UDF/ISO DVD. With Nero, file order doesn't matter. So he's been given proper instructions, links, the rest is up to him. I'm not being rude, but I grow impatient when people don't follow instructions repeatedly.
