PSP Version 2.71
I need help connecting to the internet. I followed all the instructions from the manual but nothing. I have a D-link router and fast connection. I tryed connecting manually and by scanning the wlan settings. When I scan the wlan settings it says that I have 100% signal strength. Nothing works, I get a message
"A CONNECTON ERRO HAS OCCURRED. YOU HAVE BEEN DISCONNECTED FROM THE ACCESS POINT."
HELP ME.

Did you enter in the correct WEP or WPA key?

nvm WPA is a better security than WEP you have one or the other. I would choose WPA.
If thats not it, i have no clue, is the wifi switch up?

Dlink routers the G ones come with default G setting u will have to go into the advanced router setting and change the settings to mixed mode from G mode and then reset the router and restart it and the PSP that should do the job I broke my head over it but now it works fine if it detects the WLAN network then it should connect after this chage
what goes up has to come down well not if ur dead!!!!

Uh I need some help with my PSP as well, I can connect to the internet just fine from the PSP using the auto settings, but instead of using the DNS that my PSP auto detects I used this one 67.171.70.72 which I got off of the forums here. It loads up yahoo (which is my homepage) but once I try to get anything other then that it tells me that either
A) It cannot connect to the server
or
B) I have had a DNS error
If I try to connect using the DNS that the PSP automatically detects it doesnt work at all, but for some reason it works using that one, and Im running system os 2.60

Ok.....yes I am a newbie at ALL of this. Ive read soo much on this forum and I am still somewhat lost. here is my situation, I just bought another psp the day before yesterday. last night I downloaded ver.2.71 I believe. I go through the motions on trying to get online using my psp but SURPRISE!!! I get nothing. now, I dont have a router, my computer is broken but I do have a laptop (that of course is not here right now), I have no type of internet connection besides what Im trying to do with my psp'. what am I doing wrong and what do I need to do to get this thang rollin. frustration is building up quickly and I need any, and all help that I can help. somebody walk me through it step by step. without having to go buy a router. but if I have too, then I have too! get at me
I can show you better than I can tell you!!

Getting a router would be a start to getting internet on your PSP.

dont double post. and u get a wifi connection from either having a wireless router at your house. or going to a wifi hotspot.
