Ok I have been reading up on a lot of emulators and so on. Some things are still quite confusing and I am kind of worried when downgrading from 2.6 to 1.5 that something may go wrong.
Which would be the best emulator (and safest) to install on my PSP firmware version 6?
During the installion of devhook(I just tested it on the pc to see what it would do) I also noticed I still needed the downdater file; which I needed to get passed along to me....where can I find this file?
Thanks

@ipirate, eh????
@parbogrl, yes you will still be able to play GTA but not in the same way as it will ask you to update, you have 2 options to play it, 1.Use devhook to boot the UMD 2.Rip the UMD to your pc using fastloader(or similar), use a rip kit to shrink the ISO and then boot it from your ms using devhook.

Instructions for the 2.50/2.60 user
-----------------------------------
1) Copy the folder the DOWNGRADER/2.50/DOWNDATER FINAL AUTO EBOOT if you have 2.50
or DOWNGRADER/2.60/DOWNDATER FINAL AUTO EBOOT if you have 2.60 to /PSP/GAME/ in your memstick
2) Wait someone with 1.50 to pass you a folder called DOWNDATER and copy it to the root of your memstick.
What exactly do they mean in step 2? Doesn't the full downdater version already have this file or not?

well, you make a folder in your memory stick root called ISO (must be in caps) and put your iso's in there. launch devhook, and you change the settings to your iso and hit start and enjoy :D

Do I need to use a completely empty memory stick? I mean, do I need to delete all the default folders that are on there currently?

Ok and what about after I downgrade? Can I format the stick as well. I noticed you can delete the downdater files after the downdater has finished installing....??
