No, sorry. That is the only way currently as there is a savegame exploit in the un-patched version which allows you to run homebrew.

parbo just rent GTA or buy a used one thats older and you can downgrade. DOnt stop now.

Thats exactly my problem. The country where I am we can't rent the games or even find older versions of the game.
