I have a liteon dvd burner and its fairly new and it was in my old desktop cpu (internal) well i got a external case for it and i am running it on my laptop casue my latop is a lot better anyway its hooked up with usb2.0 and its a 16x burner but it only burns the dvds at about 3x at the max. could this cause alot of problems or errors in the games i try to back up especially if im using 1x-16x sony dvd-r's?

Probably will. If they were 8X discs i would say you may be ok as they will burn around 3.8X and 5X most of the time.
But 3X is way too slow for a 16X disc. Then again it may just work for you, so the only way to know is to try a few.

Is there anyway to get it to burn at 8x or is my usb2.0 card not workin? or is tht as fast as it will burn dvds? when i burn cds it goes 40x and its a 48x cd burner so how come it does the dvds 15x slower when it does cds 8x slower?
