Ok,guys....Not everyone wants AMD....I specificallty bought an Intel as I think they are better...It's all personall preference..I really don't notice a performance change on another computer which has the same equivlent of my Intel...Besides he would have to rebuild his whole list ......I mean come on I hate all of this stereotyping of the Intel.

Hey youve got a lot of performance going there!
But maybe you should look at maybe buying a better graphics card. Your whole build is being let down by that!
But other than that i had glance and it looked compatable.
So that my opinion anyway!
ALso if you want more helpfull advice just answer this golden question lol:
Whats it for Gaming or everyday use?? (Browsing internet etc)

yeah you're right. Im thinking about going for the Foxconn mobo (the cheaper one), which means i could then upgrade to the 7600GT. What do you think?
I'll be using it for everything really. Some gaming now and then, watching dvds, browsing the net.

O.K.. Great Build for 1.. but 2 complants... 1 the video cards... u are getting 2 7600's? consolidate that and get a X1800XT or an X1900XT.. and the memory, you only really need 1 gig.. 2 is just a lil increase.. not nearly as much as from 512 to 1 gig increase.. the power supply and case combo is Not going to cut it for the cards...
the cpu is my personal favorite because it has the 4mg. and the motherboards are a tad expensive.. and foxcon is not that good.. they are not THAT bad dont get me wrong, but i would go with an asus or an abit and time before i went with an Foxcon... but other than that it is a kick ass system..

first off nice rig, and secondly no ones sure if the conroe cpus are better, The Only person saying that they are is intel and we all no intel to be ignorant and extremely arrogant, and i agree with them get a asus mobo there generally the best to go with. and i'd recommend just going with a athlon x2 socket 939, there cheap, and deliever very good performance, and are overclock friendly.
dont count amd out yet, they'll come up with somethin to kick intel's A$$ like they always do
and keep the 2gb's of memory, the way software's heading you'll need it.

Thanks 4 the advice :D
Firstly i think i will keep to intel core 2 duo for now - http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2795 - look there for intel e6600 vs amd 5000+ (obvious winner :P)
I'll probably keep the 2gb memory and just one 7600GT...But which one shall i get? I heard the good ones were Leadtek, Inno3d and XpertVision?
Lastly, I'll look into a new motherboard. But is hard to find one that is compatible with my intel processor.

Kash.. Seriously...i would really get a better card.. because it is going to bottleneck the cpu like a bitch... i would go with say the X1800GTO2 it is an ATi that is 512mg and 256bit and it has 16pipelines.. the bios is locked down on the GTo2 so you can flash it to the full fledged X1800XT and have an amazingly kick ass computer..
here is the link.. and i really dont see the need for 2 gig...
this way you can compensate for the new card...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102027
it is like 50.oo added to it to get the video.. but you would have to not get the ram.. if you look at tomshardware they show the performance diference between 1 and the 2 gig.. and it is barely even noticable.. such as a schore of 1000 with 1 gig and 2gig would be like 1200 or somthing like that...

Hey Fihsnerd, I really want to go with the 2gb, not because of speed or anything, but because i will be using many applications at once. For some reason i cant find the X1800GTO2 in the UK but i can get the X1800GTO. What would you go for? Either The Nvidia 7600GT or Ati X1800GTO??

Get 2gigs, trust me you will need it. Not sure why people are saying not to.
RAM helps keep the system running sweet & smooth. Not sure what scores are being referred to here either. Get as much RAM as you can afford. I always treat with caution reviews etc, I always suspect an ulterior motive.
The 7600 would be a reasonable card, but you may be underwhelmed in the future, but as you envisage not much gaming, that shouldn't be a problem.
RAM, RAM, RAM all the way, as much as possible.

Ok 2gb RAM it is then :D
Does anyone know whether my case + psu is good enough to keep my components cool? Some people are saying the ones that come together aren't good but i have read many reviews that say the one i'm getting is actually pretty good and lots of reviewers recommend it.

Na you want a 512mg card.. they are VERY future proof... and as for the case and power supply.. look at myne.. SUnbeam Trio
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811166008
and the power supply powers 3fans 1power supply AMD 3700 and all the pretty lil lights..
but try and shoot for a X1800XT 512mg they are kick ass cards and perform a lil better than the 7900GT and have 512mg that will hold you over a hell of a lot longer than a 256mg card will.....

Hey can anyone help me solve this problem...I'm not sure which memory to get. Its between:
OCZ Gold PC6400 DDR2 2048MB and OCZ Platinum PC2-6400 EL XTC 2048MB
The Platinum costs less thatn the gold which really confused me and they have more or less the same specs if you click the link you can see:
http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/kcp.asp?sku=320744&sku=320721
Theres only the CAS timings which are different but I dont understand what they are :S
Thanks, Kash
