When I use recode to encode an entire dvd and to fit to 4.7G target it gives me a file sized at 4.36G. This burns perfectly. However, when I choose main movie only the resulting file is 4.39G, and will not fit on the disc. I have used main movie in the past with no problems, but the last few times it has been the same story. As far as I can recall nothing has changed. Am I missing something?

Hello.

When this happens, process the DVD files or ISO through Recode again. Sometimes both Recode and Shrink miss their target the first time. Also be sure to set your Fit to Target to Custom and enter 4350 for the size to avoid the max size for a DVD5, the default.
