I know that this may sound rediculous but, I was thinking that if everyone wants all of the PSP updates that allow you to expand your world inside of the PSP and at the same time want homebrew applications that make it that much more fun. Why don't they just make an application override for the blocks on emulator installs in the new firmwares. So that way we all can enjoy homebrew softwares while enjoying the enhancements in technologies. Everyone's always working on and complaining about downgrades and everyone's probably thinking "If only it were that easy,guy..." but, with such an exploit it could always be that easy. Just stay consistant in the exploits to allow such emulators and all that is needed is for there to be a crack to break Sony's attempts at blocking the patches. Call me crazy but, if doing all of this work for a simple downgrade is possible then so is making such a patch.

Sony will never let homebrew exist on the PSP. It's not worth trying.

Basically I think that someone should make a patch of some sort that overrides the blocks for homebrew utilities on the new PSP Firmwares. That or create a 1.5 Firmware profile apart from the new Firmware that you can switch to and play homebrew on. This way, people won't be going crazy over downgrades all the time and will be able to enjoy the new features of the PSP with Homebrew at the same time.
As impossible as it may sound, it would be a phenominal breakthrough in gaming history if made. I'm not sure if this has ever been dared suggested and myself, a man without the great knowledge of the creation of such programs, would never know how hard it would be to make but, I do know that I, and so many others would be extremely happy if it ever came out.

Not sure about how this would work but, I think that with the 1.5 Dump maybe a second personality in the PSP is possible but, the memory could be costly. Just a thought...
*EDIT* It would be hard, never impossible... For the 1.50 users? Why? That would block out the other users... Just updating then putting in the second personality would be better overall then just focusing on the group that has 1.5 and this way all of those who want homebrew can have it and not be left out because they need to downgrade, then get the split personality feature... maybe by that time downgrades could be outta the question. By 3.00 Sony could lock the security so tight that although breakable but, hard to do so, no one would try.

As of right now, at least. It might be possible for 1.5 users, but that'll be it.

Lol, I don't have the time to read the news aside from reading up on several other articles that could help me with my computer and PSP but, I'll try to do so once in a while.
It's just an idea, nothing more... Impossible is such a harsh word, one that should only be used for topics that really are... quite impossible. This is the Computer and anything is possible with it. The things that are being done right now were not only impossible but, out of the question.
The thing about limiting the split personalities to only those who have 1.5 Firmware would be unfair to those with the higher ones that can't downgrade. Either which way it should be easily possible for people with any firmware to have a split personality on their PSP simply because it would be a software seperate from that of the Firmware installed...
Don't get worked up, I haven't been here long enough to learn about who suggested what and after all I'm only saying this to the developers who can't concentrate enough to make these ideas because they're focused on what task they're on. To make it or not, that's up to you guys, not me.
*EDIT* Isn't DarkAlex the guy who developed the other downgraders?

Ah, hard but, not impossible, if you don't want to try it, then don't... Maybe someone else would be more daring to try such a thing and ,if sucessful, it would be a revolution. Hard or not, it's possible and if you can do it, then you should. You would be a name all over the internet. You would also be exploiting a whole new dimension and in turn with this exploit, more exploits would be made based off of this, greater ones.
Maybe if saved directly into the systems built in memory, Sony could not mess with it.
