MY PSP IS 2.6. I AM NOT WORRIED ABOIUT DOWNGRADING TO 1.5 BUT I DO HAVE A WORRY THAT IT MAY HAPPEN EVENTUALLY. DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHATS THE AVERAGE AMOUNT OF TIMES A PSP CAN BE DOWNGRADED BEFORE IT "BRICKS"?

Well I have downgraded mine atleast a couple dozen times going back and forth between firmwares. Although there is only so many times a flash chip can be flashed before it goes kaput.

i would only do it once and then emulate newer firmwares with devhook,

hex would i be a good idea for future devhooks to just allow you to boot into a emulated firmware, and not the game?

I think it would be. I never have the umd in. After i boot devhook then I put the UMD in.

no i mean instead of booting the game just boot into the 2.7 emulated XMB
