hi all i am getting a psp new from a shop my question is

i am going to buy the game from the shop and i am not going to try

to play back ups.

my question is movies i have loads of movies what i need to know is can i convert the movies to psp format and then copy them to psp buy usb and will they play ok after copyed or will the psp have to be chipped or something to play them tia for any help yous can give me with this

No, movies will work on a Standard PSP. MPG4 is the common format but on the later firmware versions you can play other formats !!

backups you need 1.5
if you can get a 2.5/2.6 you can downgrade it. If you have a 2.6 and it is a factory 2.6 then i dunno about downgrading it might brick. if its 2.5 and factory upgrade to 2.6 and then downgrade to 1.5 then have backup can play.

just use pspvideo9 to convert your flicks to mpeg4 it's simple free and to the point.

yes it will download psp video 9. thats what most people here use but i prefer Nero to recode it.
