My sound card is integrated into the mother board. I'm unable to either hear or capture audio using Nero however Producer Gold seems to work fine. Does anyone know if Nero require that the sound card needs to be in a slot rather than built in?

your problem is quite strange - i've built loads of systems with onboard sound working fine with Nero 7. If you have changed any settings in Nero, i'd try reinstalling it and trying again, but i dont see how this is happening.

I should have killed this thread earlier, sorry. Turns out that the line in was muted on my w2k settings. My other capture software just went around that and turned itself on when capturing was taking place.
