your burner may be on the way out or your blank media may be the source of the problem I would first try a differant brand of blank media what you have may be bogus media

Is there a way to tell if the burner is on the way out. I have only had it two years and have only done 100 dvds? I thought it was a good one. but gee $80+ for only 100 movies..thats not very good. And I don't think its the media i have burned about 20 from the bundle. they were all fine..Thanks

your burner has no firmware updates try this open device manager and delete your secondary IDE controller then reboot computer and windows will reinstall controller then try to record again

For what I could understand of that article it was helpful. Thank You. I am pretty sure I know what did it. I tried to do shaolin soccer. decrypter errored out and dvdfab would just lock up on it. I tried it twice on each program. That would probably explain it. Thanks
