Hi everyone, because of this Forum i downloaded Emule 0.28b and im impressed so far :D although my download speeds arent great, apparently they pick up after a while (??) I made the move from kazaa lite because of all the sub-human scum that change filenames and upload viruses, i moved about 7GB of shared files from 2 years of kazaa usage over to emule so hopefully my speeds will increse soon. btw i have a LowID on emule, always less than 1million, ive tried to get my dad (the Admin of our home network) to disable the firewall but he has no clue how to and thinks we'll get hacked :/ ive tried some software that are supposed to bypass firewalls (socks2http, http tunnel and httport) but i dont have a clue how to configure them, (i dont even know if emule will work with them) is .28b the best version of emule there seems to be loads of different ones. thanks for all your help in advance

Ok mate one thing I do recommend is you DO NOT share small files that are like 10mb or something, especially not mp3 or you will kill your resources when eMule goes to hash the files up. Only share big files becaus that is what eMule is used for, Big files!!

As for your low id, you will have to make sure that your firewall will allow port 4662 be used and that allow eMule to act as a server!

With less files u will notice less strain on your computer!!

also just to let you know, as long as your id is high, it doesnt matter how high so 2 billion is the same as 4 billion lol!

Personally,I have norton internet security, have configured it to "permit all" for edonkey but my download speeds are ridiculous. Some of them never start(xbox iso)!I don't know what the ID number you are talking about is but if it is the number of files,it never goes past 4 millions for me(and I share 13.5GB of files)concerning the number between{},the number between() beeing around 90000.I think I have no choice but going back to kazaa and say goodbye to iso and movies.Has anyone had this problem, particularly with ISO downloads never starting because even if one download starts and it shows something like 100 hours it seems to me nearly impossible to get the download even with my DSL connection?
