I have a TDKindi DVD +/- 440n burner. I have edited a program in Adobe Premiere with the menu edited in Adobe Encore. Listed below are a few problems I am encountering and if anyone could help me ASAP that would be awesome. Thanks!

>>>>I cannot burn or copy TDK-R discs on my burner. Why is this so?
>>>>I've made an image of a video file in Adobe Premiere and tried to burn using the image to a Maxell disc. It used to work, however, I recently bought a 100 pack of the same discs and it stopped working. Any suggestions?
>>>> Trying to copy to a TDK or Maxell disc using Roxio Easy CD and DVD creator 6 is not working. It is saying that it is an incompatible media, yet, it worked before. Any suggestions?

Any help on any of these questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Your problem more than likely lies within your firmware combined with an older burner. The most current version that I could find for your drive is 1.0c and hasn't seen support since last year. Your burner is rated at 4X and the new firmware doesn't make it any faster, only adds media compatability. The new discs you bought are probably not recognized by the write strategy of your drive, that is why you can't use the new discs. You can find it here:

As for the TDK media, ditch them...they are some of the worst quality media you can buy. As for the Maxell, they should be some of the best providing they are made in Japan and not Taiwan. With the price of high quality drives being in the $30-$40 range now, I would look into buying a new drive. The firmware update may not do anything for you is why I suggest a new drive.

1650 (same as 1655 without lightscribe capabilities)for $29:

NEC 3550 (another high quality drive)for $29:
