I have been burning just fine now it isn't going good at all. My burner isn't reading the DVD or writing them at times. the last file that came up readed.

At times it reads media error or dust etc.I have Sly Software AnyDVD and CloneDVD. I use Maxell, but I bought some Verbatim today.Whats going on. Help
Try resetting the transfer modes for your IDE devices as follows:
Right click on My Computer and select Properties.
Click the Hardware tab.
Click the Device Manager button.
Click the "+" beside DVD/CD-ROM Drives.
Right click on the name of your DVD burner and select Uninstall.
Click OK.
Still in Device Manager:
Click the "+" beside IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers.
Right click on the Primary Channel and select Uninstall.
Click OK.
Right click on the Secondary Channel and select Uninstall.
Click OK.
Restart the system.
Hopefully your drive will work after doing this. Let us know how you make out.
I did it and it didn't work, so I did it again and this time it worked. The only thing is that my SonicDigita Media Le7 doesn't. I use that one to make copies of already burned dvd's. It's no big deal ,but why doesn't it work. I use CloneDVD more. What caused this mess to begin with. Oh I only have one primary channel.Plus how do you up date your tread just in case I need something different. Do you think my system will be OK
If you have a new problem in the future, use the search function and insert keywords to locate a thread discussing the same problem. If that search is unsuccessful, locate the appropriate forum and start a new thread.
As to the Sonic Digita Media LE7 not working, I'm not sure. I'm not familiar with it at all. However, if you have more than one burning package installed, you can have problms with their drivers conflicting. For example, Roxio software and Nero software have known conflicts. The same may be true for Sonic software as well. It's best to stick with one package. Try uninstalling the software and then doing a clean reinstall.
@Laddyboy...... just letting you know...... my Sonic software doesn't interfier with my Nero software. At least ..... so far soooooooo good.... and the Sonic software was preinstalled in my computer where Nero was installed afterwards.
