Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me configure my bitlord to download at speeds of more than 5-10 kb/s.
I have SBC Yahoo dsl. I have opened the ports on my firewall. I set my global max download rate to: no limit. I'm just not sure about the global max upload rate. I have also done the speakeasy speed test. My upload speed is 305 kbps. So what should I set my global max upload rate to?

47.65626...round to 48-50.

For future reference, take your upload speed divide by 8, then take that number and divide by .8, that number will be your global max upload rate.

First off, i'd say dump bitlord, it's a spyware ridding piece of sh*t.
Try ”torrent, Azureus, ABC or some other client instead.
Second, where are you downloading from ? is the torrent well seeded ?
How many seeds/peers are there?
Third, do you have a router? if you do, have you opened up ports on it as well?
