I just a new (used) psp which came with a lot of emulators and games on a 2gb stick. I put socom in it with my old 32mb stick and all i get is the fffffed3 error message. other games run fine.
how do i get my SOCOM to run? any thoughts? The UMD is fone, i tried it on another psp.
I had this error but i was using UMDEmulator but i can only give you an explaination of it.

i read many post on this forum about fffffed3 error ! and all of you are wrong
like i said before and again ! fffffed3 error its caused bye eboot.bin my proof
is when u setup battel front 2 with umdemu 8.0c as:
copy load or direct load
and use boot.bin = on the game( backup) works coz it use BOOT.BIN to start
if u attemp to start from system menu you got fffffed3 error
actualy system menu use EBOOT.BIN to launch the game and the bug or bad dump is in there
actulay if you delete EBOOT.BIN on GTA and rebulid you iso
and u setup your umdemu 8.0c as
copy load
use boot.bin =on
you will see that there is n more fffffd error and thegame try to start but freez on black screen
so pls dont say anymore that FFFFD error it mean failed to decrpyte prx!!
I had problems with SOCOM even though I has the UMD now it working, First download Devhook 0.45 from here- http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/648
Install that on your PSP, then go to ur XMB and launch Devhook and selest UMD DISC, UMD DISC, 2.xx-->2.00, reboot xmb, other- leave default, firmware 2.71 and press start. It should launch.
