custom firemware is used to make your psp better and inprove its stability. for examaple, when u first turn on your psp, your psp automatically runs the umd disc in the slot, but with the custom fm, there is no need to eject your umd disc anymore. and it is also pack with other great changes such as plugging ur usb cord to your psp, but this time it automically connect to your pc without going to tab that says connect the usb. you can get one at psp-hacks.com

be careful
if you stop the psp from flashing while installing you get a paperweight

ONLY WORKS ON 1.0\1.5 PSP.S

there is a readme file inside. no u dont install it with devhook. u do it manually!!
