I know there is a guide for this but this is ot really about that. It's been awhile since I have made a movie for my PSP and I don't know what firmware version allows you to watch them on PSP.The reason I ask this is because last night I decided to make a movie using the Guide here on the PSP forum and couldn't get it to play on the PSP.It said Incompatible data.I have a 1.50 PSP and used CloneDVD Mobile and it didn't work.Do I have to upgrade my firmware maybe?

Thanks

CloneDVD did not make the movie in MP4, which is what you need for further dvd ripping. Use PSPVideo9 like steven said.

yeah I have used pspvideo9 before and it worked out great. The only thing I didn't ike about it was the faxct that it would make a .Net account on my computer which was annoying since everytime I would turn on my computer it would ask me to log on by selecting an icon.I thought CloneDVD Mobile would work but I wonder why it doesn't.

I don't mean log into PSPvideo9,I mean log in to my computer when I turn it on.It asks me to select icon to start windows. That was one of the reasons I uninstalled the program. When I downloaded video9 I installed it like normal then a window came up saying that additional software was needed and then it proceeded to download and install a .Net account onto my comp.Is there a way to get around this?

You need to have the .NET FRAMEWORK 1.1 installed before installing PSPvideo9.

I don't think watching movies on the PSP has anything to do with Firmware

I know winavi psp video converter can convert video files to iPod/PSP directly. No need to install iTunes or other softwares. But i'm afraid it's not free.May you can try trial version first,if you like:http://www.winavi.com/avi-to-psp.htm

You have a 1.50 PSP yeah? Well you shouldnt be using any of that software thats mentioned, you should get this: http://jonny.leffe.dnsalias.com/ PMPMOD AVC full res 480x272 H264 MOVIES on your PSP!
Get this to encode for it: http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/dlfull.htm

Enjoy!;)

In what folder do I put the PMP mod folders into? Do I put it into the Game folder on the memory stick? Where do they go?

Put the PMPMODAVC and PMPMODAVC% in the game folder.
In the PSP folder create a folder called VIDEO and place your H264 PMP movies there.

Hey Sudds,I am trying to encode a part of a movie.Well a special feature from a movie.I followed the guide from PMP Mod but everytime I encode the file into my PSP I run PMP MOD and then try running the file only to be told "error opening file" invalide video format.

How do I fix this problem?

Should I name the file to Pirates.vob before encoding it?

Pirates is the name of the movie.
